YOGA with Mandy
Working in cancer research with terminally ill patients, I turned to yoga to find a deeper meaning to Life. I started reading spiritual yoga texts and practiced asana (physical postures of yoga) to compliment them. For me, Yoga has brought about a new perspective on Life and deepened my connections with my body, self, and others. As a yoga teacher, I am passionate about offering spaces for people to come back to themselves, connect with their body and breath, and grow through yoga. I value the lessons yoga teaches us on and off the mat. Whether you are an experienced Yogi or brand new to Yoga, my classes warmly invite you to come as you are. I look forward to practicing with you!
My Offerings:
Yin Yoga
Join Mandy for a Yin Yoga Class. Mandy will guide you into seated and reclined postures that will be held for longer periods of time (2-8 min). Holding these seated and reclined poses for longer periods of time targets connective tissues, such as bones, ligaments, joints, and fascia. Poses will encourage deep stretches and may require some strength to hold.
YOGA with Jay
Jay has called San Diego home for over two years, but her yoga journey began in North Carolina 2012, and this practice has accompanied her as she traveled across the country. Jay was a competitive athlete for many years and wanted to explore the mind-body connection that yoga provided. After taking a couple vinyasa, yin, and aerial classes Jay was hooked.
In April 2024, Jay earned her 200-hour yoga certification in vinyasa and yin yoga amidst the lush jungles of Peru. This transformative experience deepened her understanding of a yogic lifestyle, which involves aligning one's attitudes, habits, diet, thoughts, and overall way of life with the philosophies and ethics of yoga. Jay believes that true yoga practice is about making choices that bring you to a state of balance and inner peace, and it is different for every person.
With a decade of diverse yoga practice and a dedication to holistic wellbeing, Jay brings a wealth of experience and a compassionate approach to her teaching, aiming to inspire others to discover the profound impacts of yoga both on and off the mat.
